EXPLICACIÓ DEL PROCÉS:
Sebastià Farré, en moltes de les seves obres, treballa a partir de fotografies. Els seus viatjes són una font d’inspiració per l’artista i, sempre amb la càmara en mà, elegeix aquelles petites parts de la vida quotidiana que ens envolta i ens passen desapercebudes i en fa una fotografia per després crear una obra d’art. Sebastià aconsegueix amb molta meticulositat i perfeccionisme, com la precisió d’un enfocament fotogràfic, reproduir la realitat i crear quelcom desapercebut en quelcom vistós i agradable.
En un viatje a Madrid, a Sebastià li va cridar l’atenció un tros de carrer d’una de les avingudes de Madrid. I així doncs, després d’enquadrar una bona fotografia, es va disposar a representar un retall de Madrid, en aquest cas, la claveguera Isabel II. El procés de creació passa per diversos punts:
1- Sobre la tela s’enganxa una peça de porexpan. Es fa el dibuix pertinent i es moldeja la peça de porexpan perquè l’obra obtingui el relleu i la textura adequada.
2- Es barreja làtex, pigment negre i pols de marbre per aconseguir una pintura espesa. S’aplica aquesta sobre la peça.
3- S’empolsa la capa de color negre amb pols de marbre i arenisca per reforçar l’obra i aconseguir així un color i un toc real.
4- Es coloreja l’obra segons els colors desitjats.
5- Com a punt final s’afegeix un goteig de pintura a la part de l’obra desitjada.
